1. Introduction

Welcome to Emperor Cards Ltd. These Terms of Service govern your use of emperorcards.co.uk and any purchases made through the website. By accessing or using the website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

3. Orders

Orders placed through our website are an offer to purchase goods. A contract is only formed once we dispatch your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders before dispatch for reasons including pricing errors, stock discrepancies, suspected fraud, payment verification failure, technical issues or where fulfilment is no longer reasonably possible. If payment has already been taken, a full refund will be issued.

4. Products

Our catalogue may include trading card singles, graded cards, sealed products, booster packs, accessories, collectibles, merchandise, gift cards and future product categories. Product availability is subject to change without notice.

5. Product Descriptions & Images

We make reasonable efforts to ensure listings are accurate. Stock images may be used for standard listings. Higher value products may include photographs of the actual item. Colours may vary between displays. Where actual photographs are shown, they form part of the description.

6. Trading Card Condition

Unless otherwise stated, card condition is assessed using grading standards broadly aligned with recognised industry practices, including Cardmarket guidance. Grading remains subjective. Minor factory imperfections such as centring variance, print lines, minor edge whitening, roller marks, foil curling or other manufacturing characteristics do not necessarily make a card faulty.

7. Graded Cards

The assigned grade is the opinion of the independent grading company. Cosmetic wear to holders may occur during handling. Emperor Cards does not guarantee future regrades, crossovers or investment performance.

8. Pricing & Payments

We accept payment methods offered through Shopify at checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing or technical errors before dispatch. Promotional pricing may begin or end without notice.

9. Stock Availability

Inventory is synchronised electronically across sales channels. In rare cases overselling may occur due to technical delays. If an item is unavailable we may cancel the order and provide a full refund.

10. Customer Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, promotion abuse, harassment, scraping, bot activity or unlawful conduct.

11. Buying Cards From Customers

We may purchase cards through email, social media, text, in person or other channels. Quotations are subject to inspection. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw offers where items differ materially from their description, are counterfeit, altered or otherwise unsuitable.

12. Website Use

You must not scrape data, use automated purchasing bots, interfere with website operation, upload malicious software, infringe intellectual property or misuse the website.

13. Intellectual Property

All logos, branding, product descriptions, photographs, graphics and website content are owned by or licensed to Emperor Cards Ltd and may not be copied or reused without written permission except where permitted by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales. Subject to that, Emperor Cards shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, business interruption or losses arising from matters outside our reasonable control.

15. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control including industrial action, postal disruption, customs delays, cyber incidents, natural disasters or government action.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of purchase will apply to your order unless required otherwise by law.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
